Here is a short list of some of our favorite local places.
The places below are all right in Wellfleet and just a short walk, bike ride or drive from both of our cottages. Of course there is more to explore nearby in the neighboring towns and Provincetown is just a 20 minute drive away! Go see the whales - they will do your soul good!

Wellfleet Activities

Wellfleet Beaches: Miles and miles of magnificent beaches on both the ocean and bay sides of Wellfleet including Marconi, Cahoon Hollow, White Crest, Mayo, Duck Harbor, and Great Island.

Cape Cod Rail Trail: The scenic bike trail starts about a mile from our Cozy Cottage and winds through 6 Cape towns for over 25 miles.

Idle Times Bike Shops: Bike rentals and service.

Mass Audubon Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary

Fresh-Water Kettle Ponds: for swimming or a quick rinse after the ocean!

Jack's Boat Rental at Gull Pond:
kayaks, pedalboats (paddle boats), surfbikes, seacycles, canoes, and Sunfish sailboats.

Sportfishing, Lobster Charters,
Deep Sea Fishing Charters, and Sunset Cruises


Uncle Tim's Bridge:

Outer Cape Sailing: Private charters to Great Island, sunset sails, lessons on small sloop.

Fun Seekers: surfing, kite surfing, wind surfing, and stand-up paddling

Preservation Hall: Live music and performances, Open Mic nights, weekly Farmer's Market on Wednesday's, workshops, classes and various community events

Chequessett Yacht and Country Club: Open to the public. Golf, tennis, and sailing lessons with fabulous views of Cape Cod Bay.

Yoga on Mayo Beach: July and August. Sponsored by the Town of Wellfleet.
